TransNexus is a software development company specializing in applications for managing wholesale VoIP networks. TransNexus provides its Operations and Billing Support System (OSS/BSS) software platform to major VoIP carriers worldwide including VerizonBusiness, NTT, Chungwha Telecom, Telkom Indonesia, and others.  Important carrier features offered by TransNexus are least cost routing, number portability, profitability analysis and QoS controls.  TransNexus is an active contributor to open source software  projects and only offers software products based on open standards.  While TransNexus maintains interoperability partnerships with strategic vendors such as Acme Packet, Cisco and MetaSwitch, the TransNexus solution is interoperable with any SIP based VoIP system. TransNexus is located in Atlanta, Georgia and is a privately held Delaware C corporation.

Jim Dalton, Founder and CEO

Jim Dalton is the founder and CEO of TransNexus, Inc.  Jim became involved in the telecom industry in 1988 when he began working at BellSouth. His work at BellSouth included financial analysis and market planning for BellSouth’s GSM wireless and mobile data businesses.  This experience led to his early recognition of the promise of Voice over IP and the founding of TransNexus in 1997.  Dalton holds seven U.S. patents for VoIP clearing and settlement technology.  He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Duke University and a MBA degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton school.
